Registrar of Companies System
SIL first developed and implemented the Registrar of Companies System for the Republic of Mauritius in 1994.
The Registrar of Companies is a Government Body in any country which regulates the incorporation of Companies according to Companies Act, registration of Business Names according Business Names Act. They are also responsible to control changes to Company and Business names and track defaulters for non-submission of Annual Returns.
This system deals with all activities relating to the company from incorporation to dissolution, including shares transactions, change in office bearers, filing of returns, payment of licences, prosecution, etc. , in compliance to the requirements of the government. It also acts as an information provider through the disclosure and dissemination of information to the public.
It consists of the following modules:
- Company Monitoring Module
- Partnership Module
- Filing of Documents Module
- Registration Fees Module
- Cash Office Module
- Trust Module
- Search Room
- Business Registration Module
- Contribution Network Project (CNP) Interface Module

Due to its success in the Government of Mauritius, SIL has subsequently been implemented and deployed the Registry System for the Registrar of Companies for the Governments of Namibia and Botswana.
