On January 27, 2010, Oracle Corporation announced it finalized its acquisition of Sun Microsystems and that Sun is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Oracle.
Following this important announcement, State Informatics Limited and Oracle Sun held an event in Mauritius to inform their customers about this acquisition and how it would transform the IT landscape. The Regional Managing Director of Oracle Sun, Mr. Inana Nkanza was present at the event and addressed the customers on how this transformation would add value to their businesses.
The event went on to showcase The New Sun Solutions Portfolio, which consisted of presentations on Oracle Sun Servers by Mr. Patrick Swoboda (Manager, Open Network Systems & Exadata, MEA), Oracle Sun Storage by Mr. Luc Gheysens (Sales Director, EMEA Storage Specialists) and Exadata V2 Sun Oracle Database Machine again by Mr. Patrick Swoboda.
The event's opening presentation was made by the Manager - Business Development Group of SIL, Mr. Satyananda Narasiah where SIL's Corporate Profile and SIL's partnership with both Oracle and Sun were presented.
