State Informatics Limited (SIL) and SUN Microsystems (SUN) held an Open Storage and Virtualization event at Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel in Caudan Waterfront, Port Louis. The focus of the event was on SUN's Open Storage and Virtualization solutions to help address the needs of enterprises aiming to reduce their overall IT infrastructure costs.
In difficult economic times, many IT managers are becoming alarmed with the growing costs related to their IT infrastructure. IT leaders are under pressure to do more with reduced budgets.

An opening address was made at the event by the Manager - Business Development Group of SIL, Mr. Satyananda Narasiah where SIL's Corporate Profile and SIL's partnership with SUN were presented, followed by a corporate presentation on SUN Microsystems conducted the SUN Account Manager - SADC, Mr. Chris Vusieka.
The SUN Open Storage presentation was presented by Mr. Manfred Gramlich (SUN - Storage Practice Manager) and followed by the SUN Virtualization presentation conducted by Mr. Rheinhardt Esau (SUN - X86 Sales Specialist SSA). The SUN presentations consisted of the following topics respectively:
